i got home last night from baltimore with a funny feeling in the pit of my stomach, so i called my mom and found out my 16-year-old cousin was in a massive car accident yesterday afternoon. he's in the icu under critical care right now with two broken ribs and a lacerated spleen. needless to say, i've been crying and upset and wondering whether i should fly home or not. answer: not. i checked and tickets are over $400 and i just don't have the money.
