i love summer. too bad it hasn't really shown itself yet and it's almost the middle of may. gotta love michigan! i guess that's what you get for wanting seasonal variation. however, it IS summer in ann arbor and life is good indeed. the house is beautiful; the housemates even moreso. 439 south division is definitely housing some of the greatest people i have ever had the opportunity of living with, or knowing for that matter. i know. i'm jumping the gun a bit. granted, i haven't known everyone for very long, but there is something about living with a group of people that quickly reveals certain characteristics they may or may not have. sounds silly, but i love that we all find time at least once a week to make a meal together, eat, and spend the evening hanging out. there are no petty complaints about washing a dish that was left in the sink, and if someone runs out of milk you don't need to ask to have someone else's. sharing is caring. literally.

the other night, i ran into the house a bit late so i didn't have time to make or eat dinner before class. it was so sweet... rusha and kamala made mexican food and couldn't believe i thought of leaving the house without eating. "i really don't have time to eat guys." i kept saying that, but while i got my books together, rusha mockingly nodded her head and continued saying, "uh huh" even though she put together a burrito for me. before i left she plopped my dinner into a paper plate, handed me a napkin and said, "you really think you could leave without dinner? psht! they'll be leftover seven-layer dip in the fridge when you get back." like i said, i love these girls. they live like i live.

that was vague. regardless, i think this summer spent in ann arbor is going to be one i never forget. i'm already having too much fun.
